Data integration software provider Informatica has named Anil Chakravarthy (pictured) as CEO, as well as making a further three top-level appointments.
Additionally, Bruce Chizen will assume the role of Executive Chairman. Informatica also appointed two new senior executives to the leadership team – Jim Davis as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer and Doug Barnett as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Chakravarthy has served as acting CEO since the company’s privatisation last August. Under his leadership, Informatica has delivered several significant product releases including the most important platform release in the company’s history – Informatica v10 and Informatica Big Data Management. He joined Informatica in September 2013 from Symantec.
As Executive Chairman, former Adobe CEO Chizen will work closely with the leadership team on strategic priorities and serve as an ambassador for the company.
The appointments of Davis and Barnett to the executive team bring decades of expertise to the company, and both men will play pivotal roles in leading the marketing and finance teams respectively.
“Anil has distinguished himself as a visionary leader for Informatica,” said Bruce Chizen, Executive Chairman, Informatica. “Under his leadership, Informatica has successfully transitioned to a private company and is very well-positioned for 2016 and beyond. Anil is the ideal CEO to lead Informatica during this next stage of transformation and growth, and we have great confidence that our success will accelerate under his leadership.”
